

Website Educational Content Writer
What is the Volunteer Role?
We are looking for somebody to join our small, friendly team to take on the part-time, flexible and home-based role of Website Content Creator. You'll be helping to develop the website's unique style, and bring us more into the education space through digital content. You’ll be liaising with the website marketing manager and providing support to each other.
It is a part-time and flexible role, though we anticipate that the role will require around 5 hours a week of volunteering. Work is remote and while we welcome everyone, they must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
What Will The Volunteer Role Involve?
Research relevant copyright-free academic papers and government reports to create content for our website.
Have a good understanding of our vision, mission and values to be able to create content in keeping with Verify Humanity.
Research relevant Government Consultations (eg: badger cull), and write responses in keeping with our values (eg Compassionate Conservation). Create content to enable our audience to complete the Government consultations before the allotted deadline.
Research topics relevant to us (eg: protecting wildlife from snares) and help create educational resources such as leaflets and campaign resources to be published on our website.
Help us create an educational Wildlife ID section on our website. This might cover:
Bird song
animal footprints
wildlife
Trees
Fungi
We will expect all website content to be created using copyright-free material. Training will be given on this.
Assist in creating interactive elements for the educational content
Attend meetings with the manger to formulate plans, check progress etc.
Who Should Apply?
Preferred Experience
Several years of experience creating fun, educational online content.
Less experienced applicants would need a resourceful nature and a willingness to push themselves to explore and learn new skills.
Wix experience essential
Canva (training given)
Google Workspace (training given)
Required Skills
Excellent content creation and writing skills.
Good communicator - verbal and written.
