Social Media Officer - Volunteer Role

What is the Volunteer Job?

We are looking for somebody to join our small, friendly team to take on the part-time, flexible and home-based role of Social Media Officer.

What Will The Volunteer Job Involve?

• Role is approximately 5 hours per week.

• Create 1 Social Media post a week in keeping with our brand.

• Research post ideas using copyright-free sources (training given)

• Design social media posts to educate and entertain on one of our topics like anti-hunting and anti conservation culling. 

• Participate in weekly online meetings.

• Help the team with ideas for social media content.

• Communicate progress with the social media manager. 

Who Should Apply?

• Compassionate mindset with a love for all animals.

• Interested in researching topics to uncover hidden angles. 

• Looking to gain experience in social media. 

Required Skills

• Good communicator - verbal and written.

• Canva experience is ideal.

• An artisitic flair.

• Google Workspace (training given)

• Reliable.

• Excellent Communicator.

• A passion for animal advocacy.

Other Requirements

• Computer and good internet connection.

• Weekly online meeting to discuss ideas, measure progress and plan ongoing work.

• Stay up to date with social media trends and knowledge.

• 5 hours availability per week for this role.

• The right to work in the UK. (eg: visa)
