Social Media Officer (Volunteer)

What is the Volunteer Role?

We are looking for somebody to join our small, friendly team to take on the part-time, flexible and home-based role of Social Media Officer.


  • Role is approximately 5 hours per week.

  • Create 1 Social Media post a week in keeping with our brand.

  • Research post ideas using our copyright-free sources 

  • Design social media posts to educate and entertain on one of our topics like anti-hunting and anti conservation culling. 

  • Participate in weekly online meetings.

  • Help the team with ideas for social media content.

  • Communicate progress with the Social Media Volunteer Coordinater 


Who Should Apply?

  •  A passion and knowledge on UK wildlife rights issues.

  • Understand how speciesism impacts UK wildlife

  • Interested in researching topics to uncover hidden angles. 

  • Artistic flair

  • Ability to communicate challenging topics in a compelling way


What would be helpful

  • Canva experience 

  • Artisitc experience or training. eg: graphic design

  • Training or experience in writing.

  • Stay up to date with social media trends and knowledge.


Personal Attributes

  • Organised

  • Enthusiastic

  • Reliable


Some Basics

  • Computer and good internet connection.

  • Computer proficient.

  • Weekly online meeting to discuss ideas, measure progress and plan ongoing volunteer tasks.

  • Ideally 5 hours availability per week

  • The right to reside in the UK to fulfill our insurance requirements.
