

Assistant Website Manager
What is the Volunteer Role?
We are looking for somebody to join our small, friendly team to take on the part-time, flexible and home-based volunteer role of Assistant Website Manager. You'll be supporting and directing the volunteer website content creators with their work, ensuring it aligns with our unique style and clearly reflects our topics and values.
This volunteer role requires at least 5 hours a week. Work is remote, and while we welcome everyone, they must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom. We are a small, unfunded organisation, so we do not sponsor visa applications.
What Will The Role Involve?
Primarily to hold 1-1 video meetings with the volunteer website content creators (every other week). You will provide a friendly support network for them and help manage their workflow and content. Their work must align with Verify Humanity’s values and topics.
Hold regular video meetings with the Founder (every other week) to plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade the organisation's website. In particular, restructuring the website to reflect our topics and how we fulfil them.
Ensure the Website Team meets Verify Humanity’s standards and goals.
A solid understanding of SEO and how to implement it.
Help us monitor website analytics to ensure targeted content.
Help us improve the website user experience.
Help us gradually work towards the Website Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2.
Who Should Apply?
Preferred Experience
Experience as a manager, particularly with volunteers.
Experience in Website marketing.
Less experienced applicants would need a resourceful nature and a willingness to push themselves to explore and learn new skills.
