PLASTIC IN WET WIPES CONSULTATION OUTCOME
Great news! The UK Government has confirmed that it will ban plastic in wet wipes in England. This follows overwhelming support for the ban during the consultation process, with 95% of respondents favouring the proposals.
The ban will include the supply and sale of plastic in wet wipes by all businesses. This is a significant win in the fight against plastic pollution and its impact on the environment. Similarly aligned measures will be introduced in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland with the implementation of the bans expected in 2026.
